This book aligns well with the mindset and strategies needed for effective email marketing. It’s focused on sales and market dominance, which are key themes for anyone looking to leverage email newsletters to grow their business. It’s a motivational and strategic resource that complements the topic of email marketing services by providing readers with the drive and knowledge to succeed in their campaigns. (Amazon Link)

There are so many ways to capture emails and remarket to them, and it's crucial to get this information. I usually maintain my own email database, but the downside is that I can't email everyone at once. I take advantage of Airtable (affiliate link) to manage contacts and related stuff. However, to be honest, I don't heavily rely on email marketing. I focus more on quick tracking methods because email marketing hasn't really worked for me. There are so many different services, and the landscape is constantly changing.

Beehive, for example, has built-in features that let you email people based on your blog content, which is pretty cool. Back in the day, services like AWeber and GetResponse (affiliate link) were popular, but I never really managed to get a lot of subscribers. Email marketing is evolving so rapidly that I find it safer to maintain my own database with Airtable.

I don't know where you are in your journey, so I can't tell you which email newsletter service is the best for you. This post is about sharing what I think are the best and most popular email services—not just because they offer affiliate commissions, but because I've done some research on them.

Usually, good affiliate payouts indicate a solid service, so I try to include those.

This article won't be a huge list, but it will highlight some tech-forward options. You'll see some new and interesting services, but I want to be transparent: I personally don't use a lot of email newsletter services, though I have tried AWeber.

If you have a big list and don't know your subscribers well, it can be tough to sell to them. It depends on how you got your list and where your subscribers came from.

I'm a bit torn between managing my own database and using services like AWeber. Ultimately, you'll be exporting your subscribers to your own database anyway.

Substack is another service on the forefront of this changing newsletter game. Email is still important, as I learned in my marketing classes in college, but I prefer reaching out to people one-on-one.

Nevertheless, here's a little list of what I think are good picks for 2024 and beyond. -Carl

Spark Loop

“The Easiest Way to Monetize Your Newsletter!” Sparkloop.App, https://sparkloop.app/paid-recommendations. Accessed 15 Aug. 2024.

SparkLoop is one of those tools that I'm still wrapping my head around, but I’m really excited to integrate it into my Beehive blog. From what I’ve gathered, it also works with platforms like ConvertKit, and it’s gaining traction on some pretty big platforms. The newsletter business is booming right now, and SparkLoop is right in the middle of it all. The idea that you can make money by promoting other people's newsletters is just mind-blowing—this kind of thing didn’t even exist not too long ago!

I’ve been doing some research, watching YouTube videos, and, of course, I signed up for SparkLoop myself. Getting set up as an affiliate was super easy—just a few clicks, and you’re in! I’m definitely planning to promote SparkLoop a lot more because I love the community around it, and I think it’s going to be huge.

Beehive’s integration with SparkLoop feels like the perfect next step for me, and I’m really excited about the potential here. SparkLoop is a fantastic way for people to monetize their newsletters, even if it’s not a blog platform itself. Instead, it allows you to promote other people's articles at the end of your emails. Right now, I’m just an affiliate, but once I build up my newsletter subscribers on Beehive, I’ll be diving in even deeper.

The hardest part, like with any powerful tool, is understanding how the software works. But with a bit of research and dedication—just like with ClickFunnels—you can get a ton of value out of it. It’s all about applying it correctly. I’m excited about what’s ahead, and I hope you find SparkLoop as exciting as I do!

SparkLoop is a powerful tool for growing newsletter audiences through effective referral programs. It offers easy integration with email service providers, in-email referral links, automated reward fulfillment, and robust anti-fraud protection.

SparkLoop also allows for referral giveaways and advanced analytics, making it a comprehensive solution for newsletter operators aiming for rapid, sustainable growth. The platform is customizable, supports tracking referrals across websites, and provides a referral hub for real-time progress tracking. How do people make money with SparkLoop?

People make money with SparkLoop by leveraging its referral program to grow their newsletter subscriber base, which increases their audience and potential revenue. By offering incentives for referrals, they can attract more subscribers quickly. This larger audience can then be monetized through various methods, such as selling ad space, promoting affiliate products, or offering premium content.

  • Additionally, running referral giveaways can boost growth and engagement, further enhancing revenue opportunities from a larger and more active subscriber base.

Click Funnels

ClickFunnels is another tool that can be used for email marketing. To be honest, I’ve gone through the onboarding process, and it can feel like a lot—there’s a steep learning curve with all the marketing features. It might be challenging to fully grasp how to use it, but I know Russell has a huge following, so I have to include it in the list.

Even though I haven’t fully utilized the program, that doesn’t mean you won’t find value in it. That’s why I’m adding it here, and yes, there’s an affiliate link included. I appreciate any support from that! The concept of funnels can be powerful if you have the time to learn the software. While I found it a bit tricky and confusing to get set up, it’s definitely worth giving it a try.

Hughes, John. “Custom Link Shortener, Branded Link Management.” Pretty Links, 23 June 2022, https://prettylinks.com. Accessed 14 Aug. 2024.

Pretty Links is an amazing WordPress integration that lets you cloak and manage your affiliate links way better than you could otherwise! Back in my early days, I was all about WordPress, and Pretty Links was a game-changer for me. It helped me gather valuable data and made link management so much easier. If you're deep into WordPress right now, Pretty Links could be exactly what you need.

That said, if you're thinking about expanding beyond WordPress, you might want to consider an exit strategy. While Pretty Links is fantastic, you'll want to ensure you're recording those clicks and managing your own database as early as possible to get the most out of it. But if you’re all in with WordPress, Pretty Links is definitely worth checking out! If you haven't heard of it before, now you have—and it might just be the tool you've been looking for.
